Trained MMA fighter Herman "The Hitman" Terrado testified Tuesday that he and War Machine, who is using his birth name Jon Koppenhaver for the trial, would often train together.

According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, Terrado said during several of their training sessions Koppenhaver would choke him until he blacked out.

However, Terrado told the room that other than a few "heated situations" at the gym his friend was usually a "pretty calm" guy.

"He's pretty chill unless you're antagonizing him," Fox 5 Vegas quoted Terrado as saying. "Like anyone else, he'll defend himself."

A second witness, who did not want to be identified, also took the stand Tuesday telling the jury that Koppenhaver had a prescription for the anabolic steroids Adderall and Lexapro, Fox 5 Vegas reported. She also testified that the ex-fighter temporarily lived with her and her husband and he was always a "sweet guy."

Following Tuesday's testimonies, Koppenhaver took to Twitter to share a biblical verse. He also re-released a statement in which he denies doing everything he's accused of.

"It's no mystery; I found the woman I loved in bed with another man and I made some poor choices, Choices that I feel horrible for, regret and know that I must be punished for," he tweeted. "But I DIDN'T do all the crap they're accusing me of and I do not deserve that crazy amount of time being thrown at me."

Koppenhaver faces 34 counts, including attempted murder, kidnapping and sexual assault, in connection to the attack that left both Mack and Thomas in the hospital with several injuries.

Mack, a former adult film star, suffered a broken nose, fractured eye socket, missing teeth, lacerated liver and injuries to her leg. Thomas broke his nose, dislocated his shoulder and had bite marks on his face after the brutal beating.
