Jamie Pink © Fairfax Jamie Pink Tribal Huks gang leader Jamie Pink has appeared in court charged with firearms offences.

Appearing under the name Allan James Pink in the Hamilton District Court on Wednesday he entered no plea to two charges of unlawfully carrying a firearm.

Wearing a patch over his right eye and with his right hand strapped, he was supported in court by fellow members of the gang based in Ngaruawahia.

He was remanded on bail until November 16.

Pink declared war on methamphetamine in the Waikato town last month vowing to rid it of those dealing the drug.

Outside court his lawyer Roger Laybourn refused to comment on the charges.

He said Pink's focus was on the gang's feeding the children programme providing lunches to the needy and keeping the town clean of methamphetamine.
