Girl's day out stabbing accused named

Carly Stewart, 36, died following a stabbing at a house in School Road in Te Atatu on October 15.

The 36-year-old woman accused of her murder, Anna Eiao Browne, appeared in the High Court at Auckland on Wednesday, where a suppression on her name was lifted.

A three week trial has been set down for August next year.

Ms Stewart, a mother of two, was reported to have been attending a "girls' day" when the attack took place.

Ms Browne has been remanded in custody until she appears again in February.
