Disability Issues Minister Nicky Wagner says a new set of questions will be put into the June quarter of the Household Labour Force survey each year and the biennial General Social Survey.

"Data is critical for understanding the experiences of disabled people," Ms Wagner said.

"These questions will provide important information about how well disabled people are faring across a range of wellbeing outcomes."
