NZ Newswire logoNZ Newswire 1/08/2016

The government has called for nominations on four boards and it wants women to apply.

It's looking for "high calibre individuals" for the boards of Airways Ltd, AsureQuality, the Met Service and Quotable Value.

State Owned Enterprises Minister Todd McClay says women are under-represented and he wants that to change.

Minister for Women Louise Upston is also encouraging women to put their names forward.

"Mr McClay and I are committed to increasing the percentage of women on State Owned Enterprises boards to at least 45 per cent," she said.
