Greg Inglis has appeared at South Sydney headquarters for the first time since checking himself into mental health clinic last month with depression.

The Rabbitohs co-captain spent time with teammates on Tuesday morning before speaking with the NRL club's medical staff on recommencing his rehabilitation on his knee reconstruction.

Inglis' return is sure to boost a South Sydney side that have lost seven of their past nine games and sit fourth last on the ladder.

Their dismal season shows no signs of abating with halfback Adam Reynolds set to head into Friday's clash against Brisbane under an injury cloud.

Reynolds' knee was heavily strapped at Redfern Oval on Monday morning, however is set to take part in a training session on Tuesday afternoon.

While Reynolds' form and fitness have been questioned this season, his importance is evident in the fact the team have won just five of 17 games without him since his debut in 2012.
