NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 28/06/2016

The death of a man whose body was found inside a bale of cardboard at a Waikato factory is being treated as unexplained by police.

The body was discovered by a worker at the OJI Fibre Solutions cardboard processing plant on Pukeko St in Hamilton on Tuesday, police say.

Police said they had yet to identify the man and were working to figure out how he ended up in the bale.

A post-mortem is expected to be carried out on Wednesday morning.

The company has declined to comment.

Its website says it employs more than 1850 people across the country.
