Novillo was given a two-week suspension by the A-League match review panel for kicking out in the direction of Reds players during a melee in this month's final-round clash at AAMI Park.

Sitting in Sydney on Tuesday night, the committee did not buy City's explanation that the 24-year-old Frenchman had extended his leg to regain balance after being pushed, while also trying to do a good deed by separating incensed players.
