Hartley bounces back with pole at Spa

NZN 7/05/2016

New Zealand driver Brendon Hartley has put a spectacular crash behind him to help his Porsche team to pole position in Belgium in the second round of the World Endurance Championship.

Hartley, who won the championship with Germany's Timo Bernhard and Australian Mark Webber last year, flipped the No.1 Porsche 919 Hybrid while leading in the opening round at Silverstone in April.

The trio will start the Six Hours of Spa at Spa-Francorchamps at the front of the grid after Hartley and Bernhard led qualifying.

Hartley tweeted: "All smiles today! Pole position and first point for our title defence."
