Have your say on dog control laws - for the next two weeks, the government is listening.

Associate Local Government Minister Louise Upston says she wants to hear about ideas for action at all levels - what can be done by government, councils, dog owners and others.

"But we need to find ways to reduce the danger posed by high risk dogs and irresponsible dog owners."

Feedback opened on Monday and runs through to August 14.
