Henry takes on Warriors NSW Cup head role

Warriors NSW Cup assistant coach Ricky Henry will take on the top job in 2017 after Stacey Jones' promotion to first-grade assistant.

Henry, 38, held development roles at the club between 2008 and 2012 and served as NRL assistant coach in 2013 and 2014.

Former Warriors utility Jerome Ropati will serve as Henry's assistant.

Jones, a former playmaker for the club, has been called up by new boss Stephen Kearney to serve as assistant alongside former head coach Andrew McFadden.

Joining the duo will be a third yet-to-be-named assistant.

At the NYC level, Grant Pocklington will take charge in 2017 after guiding Auckland side Point Chevalier Pirates to three consecutive Fox Memorial titles.

Pocklington, who served as Kiwi Ferns assistant in 2016, will be assisted by former Warrior Boycie Nelson.
