Jarryd Hayne will come out the winner over Neil Henry should one of them be forced to walk the plank over their public fallout.

It’s understood the Gold Coast would be willing to part company with their coach and retain Hayne if the pair can’t bury their differences.

Hayne is due to collect $1.2m on next year’s contract and the Titans would face a huge pay-out to be rid of him.

Henry is on about a third of that money and could be paid out, with the Titans then likely to sign a young up and coming coach on a modest deal.

While Hayne is considered high maintenance, he does enjoy the support of many of his teammates.

Henry is off with a number of players and they have made their concerns known.

The situation will come to a head on Monday when CEO Graham Annesley meets with both men in an attempt to thrash out their differences.

Further complicating the situation, the NRL-owned Titans are about to be put up for sale and any decision on Hayne or Henry may be delayed.
