Highlanders winger Waisake Naholo has been suspended for one week following his dangerous charge against the Bulls in Pretoria.

All Blacks flyer Naholo was sent off for the incident midway through the second half of Saturday's 17-10 Super Rugby win over the Bulls in Pretoria.

His shoulder collected the head of Burger Odendaal after the Bulls second five-eighth had thrown a pass.

A Sanzaar foul play review committee accepted a guilty plea from Naholo and said the incident was at the lower end of the scale.

A two-week ban was reduced to one because of Naholo's good judicial record and early plea.

He will miss Saturday's match against the Force in Perth but will be available for the subsequent home match against the Waratahs.
