Primary Industries Minister Nathan Guy says new data shows exports increased 9.5 per cent last year to a record $4.27 billion.

Key increases included kiwifruit, up 27 per cent, wine up six per cent, apples up five per cent, cherries up 87 per cent and avocados up 22 per cent.

"With domestic and export receipts at over $7.5b when combined, they're on track to meet their target of $10b by 2020," Mr Guy said.
