Ikahihifo joins the Giants on a two-and-a-half-year deal after St George Illawarra agreed to release the 25-year-old.

Having failed to break into the Dragons' first-grade team, Ikahihifo will plug the gap created by Huddersfield's loss of Ferres, who was sold to Leeds on the eve of the season.

Huddersfield, second-last with three wins from 14 matches after their 16-14 loss to Catalans Dragons on Saturday, expect Ikahihifo to arrive in time to make his debut against St Helens on Sunday.
