India reached 3-136 in 58 overs at tea on Friday 's opening day of the second Test against New Zealand.

India started badly, losing opener Shikhar Dhawan for one after he chopped a Matt Henry delivery onto his stumps.

Henry then Murali Vijay caught behind for nine before Trent Boult picked up the prized wicket of captain Virat Kohli for nine.
