Former Kiwis and Warriors centre Krisnan Inu has signed a new two-year contract with French side Catalans Dragons.

The 29-year-old, who scored two tries in nine Super League matches before suffering a season-ending knee injury, will now stay at the Gilbert Brutus Stadium until the end of the 2018 season.

"I'm grateful for the club's faith in re-signing me for another two seasons, and I'm blessed to be at such a great club with an even better bunch of players and fans," Inu said.

Catalans head coach Laurent Frayssinous says Inu has never been able to show his whole talent despite proving at the start of the season he was one of the best centres in the competition.

"He is working really hard at the moment to come back to his best and I'm really looking forward to seeing him on the field again.

"He has settled really well here, not only in the team but in the region as well. He is one of the fans' favourite players, not only for his on-field skills but also for his human qualities away from it."
