Adam Milne © Getty Adam Milne Little-used New Zealander Adam Milne's Indian Premier League season has been ended by a hamstring injury.

The Black Caps quick suffered a grade two tear to his right leg ruling him out of the remainder of the seventh-placed Royal Challengers Bangalore's campaign.

It also places Milne's contract with English county Essex in some doubt. He is scheduled to join Essex in late June for the second half of their T20 campaign.

It is the latest setback for the 24-year-old, who missed the 2015 IPL completely because of a heel injury which struck him late in New Zealand's World Cup campaign.

The limited overs specialist has battled a variety of ailments since his Black Caps debut in 2010.

He only played one game for Bangalore, taking 1-43 against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their opening game four weeks ago.
