Johnny Depp Reveals Why He Doesn't Ever Want To Win An Oscar

The Huffington Post The Huffington Post 13/10/2015 Julia Brucculieri

Winning an Oscar is pretty much any actor's dream, but Johnny Depp isn't just any actor.

The "Black Mass" star spoke to the BBC and revealed that he doesn't really care to win an Academy Award for his work in Hollywood.

"I don't want to win one of those things ever, you know," he said. "I don't want to have to talk." Depp's role in the Whitey Bulger flick has been garnering him plenty of Oscars buzz, but he says he'd be good with just a nomination.

"They gave me one of those things, like, a nomination, two or three times," he said. "A nomination is plenty."

The actor's been nominated for three Oscars so far for his roles in "Finding Neverland" (2004), "Sweeney Todd" (2007) and "Pirates of the Caribbean" (2003). The official nominations for this year's films will be announced in January, which means Depp has plenty of time to prepare a speech -- just in case.
