Johnson unconcerned by Fittler remarks

Star Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson has brushed off former NSW captain Brad Fittler's criticism that he doesn't take on the defensive line often enough.

The 25-year-old Johnson scored a wonder-try with less than a minute to play in his side's golden-point win over Penrith, shaping to kick a field goal before dancing past an onrushing defence to cross the line.

However Fittler told Australia's Nine Network on Sunday that the Kiwi international doesn't "get his jersey dirty" often enough by attacking the line.

Johnson told reporters on Thursday it was just another opinion.

"It was a wet game and I did a lot of other things in the game that warranted me to play it as I played it," Johnson said.

"I can't get bogged down in what people think too much, I'm confident in what I'm doing."

The Warriors will face the seventh-placed Titans on Sunday, who are coming off a draw with the table-topping Sharks and will be boosted by the debut of Jarryd Hayne.

Johnson wouldn't underestimate the scale of the challenge ahead of his eighth-placed side.

"We've got to go over there and play our style of footy and if we can do that, I'm pretty confident we can come away with the result," Johnson said.

"They just matched it with a team that pretty much hasn't lost a game all year."
