Chiefs coach Dave Rennie has rung in the changes for his side's Super Rugby semi-final with the Hurricanes on Saturday night, drafting in All Blacks halfback Tawera Kerr-Barlow and centre Seta Tamanivalu.

Kerr-Barlow is promoted from the bench for the Hamilton-based outfit after his side's crushing 60-21 quarter-final win over the Stormers, while the Fiji-born Tamanivalu returns from a knee knock.

Incumbent halfback Brad Weber drops to the bench.

Elsewhere, the team retains the same shape as in South Africa.

Kane Hames, Nathan Harris and Atu Moli make up the front row, while Taleni Seu, Tom Sanders and co-captain Sam Cane will line up as loose forwards.

All Black and co-captain Aaron Cruden will don his No.10 jersey with youngster Anton Lienert-Brown moving from centre to second five-eighth.

On the bench, Japanese international Michael Leitch takes his spot on the pine after injuring his thumb against the Rebels in May.

Former All Black Stephen Donald has been omitted from the side.
