The Russian fighter's future in the UFC is in serious doubt after he engaged in a vicious mass brawl having beaten the Irishman by rear-choke submission.

But taking to Twitter on Friday morning, Khabib hinted at a possible WWE bout with 41-year-old former wrestling champion Brock Lesnar.

He tweeted: '@WWE ask me to jump inside. What do you think guys? #SmashLesnar #FakeFights'

Khabib is awaiting to hear what his punishment will be from the brawl in Vegas but should sanctions fall with one of his team-mates, he vowed on Thursday to turn his back on UFC.

In a sensational ultimatum Khabib claimed he will quit if team-mate Zubaira Tukhugov is sanctioned for hitting McGregor in the staggering post-fight brawl.

In a lengthy statement published on Instagram on Thursday, Khabib wrote: 'Why didn't you fire anyone when their team attacked the bus and injured a couple of people? They could have killed someone there, why no one says anything about insulting my homeland, religion, nation, family?

'Why do you have to punish my team, when both teams fought. If you say that I started it, then I do not agree, I finished what he had started.

'If you decide to fire him, you should know that you’ll lose me too. We never give up on our brothers in Russia and I will go to the end for my Brother. If you still decide to fire him, don’t forget to send me my broken contract, otherwise, I'll break it myself.'

The Dagastani had climbed from the cage to punch McGregor's team-mate Dillon Danis before the chaos entered the octagon with Tukhugov punching McGregor in the back of the head with security overwhelmed.

UFC President Dana White said after the brawl was diffused inside the T-Mobile Arena that Tukhugov and Islam Makhachev, another Russian MMA fighter, will never fight in his competition again.

Tukhugov, who has fought in the UFC four times, was due to face McGregor's team-mate Artem Lobov later this month but that fight has been plunged into serious doubt because of the incident.

Makhachev, on the other hand, had won five of his six fights but his UFC career is now over following the moment of madness at the T-Mobile Arena

The Nevada State Athletic Commission have temporarily suspended both Khabib and McGregor as they probe the incident further - but it now appears the WWE are willing to offer him an alternative route.

Vince McMahon's billion dollar corporation has helped UFC stars previously such as Ronda Rousey make the transition away from the octagon.

McGregor has previously talked of WWE's interest in him before he upset a host of the corporation's big names by labelling them 'dweebs'.

Lesnar lost his WWE Universal championship in a match against Roman Reigns back in August at SummerSlam, paving the way for a return to the Octagon.

The veteran wrestler is scheduled to be back among the WWE crew at an event in December and would no doubt be interested in pitting himself against the best wrestler in the UFC lightweight division.
