Khloe Kardashian Reveals Why Lamar Odom Will Always Be Part Of Her Life

Khloe Kardashian won't let breakups ruin her relationships with her exes.

In a blog post on her website, the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star opened up about why she tries to remain friends with her former flames. She explained that while it's not completely necessary, she believes in "being cordial."

"I want to feel like I can text a guy I've dated in the past to see how he's doing without it being weird," she wrote.

"You definitely shouldn't force it, though. You need a break, so you can process everything, and you need to respect yourself and your own emotions," she continued. "If it's toxic to remain friends, you shouldn't, and if you haven't had closure, you can't be friends yet."

When it comes to her estranged husband, Odom, the 31-year-old suggested that the relationship was too important to completely let go of.

"I don't need to stay friends with a guy I f**ked for two weeks, LOL," she explained. "But if it's a relationship that served a purpose in my life, like Lamar, why wouldn't I want them in my life afterwards?"

Kardashian said the same thing about her sister Kourtney's ex, Scott Disick.

"Scott, too -- he was a huge part of our family and always will be. Just because you break up with someone doesn't mean you lose that connection."

At the end of the day, the reality TV star said she never wants "to go anywhere and be nervous because so-and-so is there. That's so awkward!"

She's just "not about that bad energy!"

Kardashian has spoken about her relationship and subsequent split with Odom in the past, admitting that he's still the love of her life.

In an interview with Women's Health last year, the Strong Looks Better Naked author revealed, "I love Lamar to death. He is the love of my life. We had a fantastic marriage. Do I wish he had tried harder? Yes. Do I think that he maybe didn’t have the energy to fight because he was fighting so many other things? Yeah."

The "Kocktails with Khloe" host also admitted to E! News last April, "I will never, ever not love Lamar. I was so obsessed with him in a healthy way. He was my husband, and I still wish he was, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that."
