Leading Kiwi squash player Joelle King has been bundled out of the Windy City Open tournament in Chicago by a player ranked outside the world's top-50.

Canadian qualifier Samantha Cornett took 48 minutes to upset world No.11 King 11-13 11-7 15-13 11-9 in their first round match.

It ends New Zealand's involvement at the world tour event.

Sixteenth-ranked Paul Coll pushed world No.1 Mohamed El Shorbagy to five games before bowing out on Friday (NZT) while qualifier Campbell Grayson also exited in round one.
