The Kiwi Ferns will play Papua New Guinea, the Cook Islands and Canada in pool play at next year's women's Rugby League World Cup in Australia.

Defending champions Australia will take on England, Canada and the Cook Islands.

New Zealand open their campaign against Canada on November 16, then meet the Cook Islands three days later and Papua New Guinea on November 22, all at Southern Cross Group Stadium in Cronulla.

The Australians will play the Cook Islands, England and Canada to find the four semi-finalists.

The semi-finals will be contested as a double header on November 26, with the final played as a curtain-raiser to the men's final on December 2 at Brisbane Stadium.

Australia's Jillaroos broke New Zealand's 13-year reign as women's Rugby League World Cup champions, winning the 2013 final 22-12 in Headingly.
