NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 25/05/2016

Ireland have included uncapped New Zealand flanker Sean Reidy in their 32-man squad to tour South Africa in June.

Former Counties Manukau forward Reidy, 27, has impressed since signing with Ulster in 2014.

He qualifies for Ireland through a grandfather who came from County Kerry.

Reidy joins Connacht lock Quinn Roux, a South African, as the uncapped players in coach Joe Schmidt's squad to play three Tests against the Springboks, starting in Cape Town on June 11.

Another New Zealander from the Ulster ranks, centre Jared Payne, is in the squad to be captained by hooker Rory Best.

Several key figures are missing with injury, most notably Cian Healy, Peter O'Mahony, Sean O'Brien, Tommy Bowe, Simon Zebo and New Zealand prop Nathan White.
