Lee shares 40th after two rounds, having improved eight places at the Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio with his one-under 71.

He sits on even-par, 14 shots behind runaway American leader Jason Dufner.

Lee is coming off fifth and sixth place finishes in Texas last month which has lifted his world ranking back inside the top 100.

Elsewhere, Japan Tour-based Michael Hendry shared 32nd at the JGT Championship at Shishido Hills Country Club in Ibaraki.

Hendry followed his opening 69 with a four-over 75 to be nine shots off the pace.

Hendry is coming off a second placing at last week's Mizuno Open, which earned him a place at the British Open.

On the European Tour, Ryan Fox has narrowly qualified for the weekend at the Nordea Masters in Sweden.

His second-round 72 improved him to one-over, making the cut by one stroke.

Struggling for form in recent weeks, Fox is nine shots behind Welsh leader Jamie Donaldson.
