Kiwi Sitak loses Bordeaux doubles final

New Zealand's Artem Sitak has lost the doubles final of a Challenger Tour event in France to continue his preparations for the French Open.

Sitak and Mexican Santiago Gonzalez went down 6-4 6-4 to Indian pair Purav Raja and Divij Sharan in the decisive match of the second-tier Bordeaux Challenger.

Ranked 59th in doubles, Sitak was to link with regular partner Nicholas Monroe of the United States at an ATP event in Lyon this week ahead of the grand slam tournament in Paris.

Kiwi Marcus Daniel and Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner will also play in Lyon while the third leading Kiwi doubles player, Michael Venus, will contest an ATP tournament in Geneva with American Ryan Harrison.
