Michael Venus is in line for a hat-trick of ATP doubles titles in France this year after advancing through the semi-finals in Metz.

Venus and Croatia's Mate Pavic are into the final of the Moselle Open courtesy of a 7-6 6-1 win over American Scott Lipsky and Briton Colin Fleming.

The tournament third seeds will face unseeded Julio Peralta of Chile and Horacio Zeballos of Argentina in the decider. The South Americans needed three sets to oust the tournament second seeds Oliver Marach and Fabrice Martin.

Venus, ranked 41st in the world in doubles, has won four ATP finals with 34th-ranked Pavic this year.

Two of those have come in France, the pair having claimed indoor wins in Marseille and Montpellier.

The pair's lone win in 2015 also came in France, on the clay courts of Nice.
