New Zealand's Michael Venus and American Ryan Harrison are one win away from an ATP doubles title after a fighting display in their semi-final in Portugal.

Venus and Harrison overcame Ariel Behar (Uruguay) and Aliaksandr Bury (Belarus) 4-6 7-6 10-3, winning a tense second-set tiebreaker 9-7.

Their opponents in Sunday's final of the clay court Estoril Open will be Spanish pair David Marrero and Tommy Robredo.

Venus, ranked 41st in world doubles, has won five ATP titles. All of them have come with former partner Mate Pavic of Croatia, including four last year.
