Kiwi Olympians Luuka Jones and Mike Dawson both found themselves in the water as overseas paddlers dominated the final day of the Oceania canoe slalom championships in Auckland.

Rio K1 silver medallist Jones rolled her craft in the final of the women's C1 discipline as Australian Jess Fox powered to victory.

The experienced Dawson followed suit in the men's K1, helping hand victory to American Michal Smolen.

Double Olympic medallist and reigning world champion Fox was in imperious form, winning by more than 13sec from compatriot Roslyn Lawrence a day after clinching gold in the K1 class.

She put on a masterclass, finishing in an outstanding 102.62 seconds despite picking up a touch on the first gate.

Smolen headed off Olympic champion Joe Clarke of Great Britain by just 1.83sec after clocking 86.17sec. Australian Lucien Delfour was third.

The best Kiwi men were Callum Gilbert (fourth) and Finn Butcher (sixth).
