Liverpool boss Juergen Klopp is relishing his return to Borussia Dortmund ahead of Thursday's Europa League tie

Liverpool manager Juergen Klopp is enjoying his return to former club Borussia Dortmund ahead of Thursday's quarter-final Europa League tie.

"I am at a place in which I had a wonderful time. Better here than North Korea," he told reporters Wednesday on the eve of the first-leg match.

"But I won't be celebrating a Borussia Dortmund goal," he added.

Klopp won the 2011 Bundesliga and 2012 league and cup double with Dortmund, while losing the 2013 Champions League final at Wembley against German rivals Bayern Munich.

His former club have made "a cool development" under Thomas Tuchel and could win a treble of league, cup and Europa Cup, Klopp said.

"Only if we play at a top level do we have a chance," he said of the Liverpool side he took over in October.

"I don't believe we are the favourites but if we beat BVB (Dortmund), one of the strongest opponents, we could become one of the favourites for this competition," he said.
