Kiwi world No.1 golfer Lydia Ko has breezed through to the LPGA Lorena Ochoa Match Play event's Round of 32.

Ko emerged with a straightforward three-and-two win over Mexican Ana Menendez in Mexico City on Friday (NZT), having overcome an eye infection that forced her to withdraw from an event in Texas last week.

She'll now face American Jennifer Song for a place in the Round of 16.
