New Zealand world No.1 Ko will tee off alongside second-ranked Korean Inbee Park and third-ranked Lexi Thompson for the first two rounds of the Kingsmill Championship in Williamsburg.

None of them have played since April but return with the expectation of busy schedules leading up to the Women's PGA Championship tournament in June.

Ko said on social media she feels refreshed after some time out as she seeks to build on the success of the first phase of her season.

The 19-year-old notched five top-three finishes, including two wins, in her eight starts to hold a comfortable lead in the Tour's point standings.

Her most recent result was sixth at the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic in California before choosing to skip tournaments in Texas and Alabama. The Tour took a break last week.

Ko's two previous appearances at Williamsburg's River Course resulted in fifth and 16th-place finishes.
