His case has been set down for call over in Hamilton District Court on Thursday, when a trial date could be allocated.

His initial trial ended in a hung jury five weeks ago, with jurors unable to agree on a verdict after 11 hours of deliberations, and he was remanded on bail.

Kuggeleijn, 24, has denied sexually violating a woman in Hamilton last year.

The case centres on whether consent was given by the woman before sexual intercourse took place.
