Mainland Tactix will tackle next year's new elite netball league with a new shooting circle after Malawi international Mwai Kumwenda's confirmation she is leaving.

Kumwenda leaves the Tactix after three seasons, and is expected to pick up a contract with the Melbourne Vixens in next year's Australian domestic league.

She earlier spent three years playing in the Victoria League, followed by a season with the Victorian Fury in the Australian national league before signing for the Tactix in 2014.

Former Tactix shooting partner and current Silver Fern goal shoot Bailey Mes is also leaving the Christchurch-based franchise.

Mes returns to the Northern Mystics, where she will partner New Zealand teammate Maria Tutaia in the shooting circle.

While the Tactix have snared Southern Steel shooter Brooke Leaver for next season, coach Sue Hawkins will be looking to fill the gaps in her attacking circle quickly.
