Veteran centre Laura Langman is leaving New Zealand holding the country's most prestigious netball player gong.

Langman was crowned player of the year at the New Zealand Netball awards following another strong campaign as vice-captain of the Silver Ferns.

The 30-year-old, who has played 141 successive Tests, was also named winner of the Dame Lois Muir Supreme Award.

She won't be in contention next year, having signed with the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the new Australian domestic league, making her ineligible for Silver Ferns selection.

Southern Steel midcourter Gina Crampton was named New Zealand's ANZ Championship player of the year in the final year of the trans-Tasman league while Waikato Bay of Plenty's Julie Fitzgerald was coach of the year.
