Lauren Graham & Mae Whitman Are Working Together Again

The Huffington Post The Huffington Post 19/10/2015 Joe Satran

Fans of NBC's "Parenthood" have had a major gap in their lives since the show ended in January: the glorious mother-daughter relationship between Lauren Graham's Sarah Braverman and Mae Whitman's Amber Holt. It seems the talented actresses have been missing that bond too, because they're now teaming up on a new project.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Graham is writing a film adaption of 2015 novel The Royal We by Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan, the creators of snarky fashion site Go Fug Yourself. It tells the story -- loosely inspired by Prince Williams' courtship of Kate Middleton -- of an American woman who falls in love with a prince in line for the British throne while studying at Oxford.

Mae Whitman, who's attached as a producer, is currently the leading candidate for the starring Kate Middleton-esque role. It's a nice step up from her last big movie role as the titular "Designated Ugly Fat Friend" in "The DUFF."

No word yet on whether Graham -- who proved her writing chops with bestselling 2014 novel Someday, Someday, Maybe -- will act in the movie as well, reuniting the two on the screen as well. But the possibility of them teaming up again in any capacity is a wish come true for Lauren Graham fans.
