Danny Lee has drifted down the leaderboard at the PGA Championship in New Jersey to sit eight strokes shy of the front-runners after two rounds.

After carding one-under 69 for his opening round at the Baltusrol Golf Club in Springfield, Lee mixed two bogeys with two birdies to finish even-par for round two.

He slipped 15 places down the leaderboard into a share of 34th place with 13 others.

Americans Jimmy Walker and Robert Streb hold the lead, with Streb shooting a major championship record-equalling seven-under-63.

The leaders sit at nine-under 131, but world No.1 and defending champion Jason Day has stormed into contention with a second-round 65.

Day sits just two strokes off the lead in a tie for third with Argentina's Emiliano Grillo, who backed up his opening 66 with a 67.
