Kiwi No.1 Danny Lee remains on track for a healthy pay day at the PGA Tour event in Connecticut, improving to seventh place with a round to play.

Lee's two-under 68 on Saturday was highlighted by an eagle on the par-five 13th hole, which came in a third round which featured two birdies and two bogeys.

He improved one place at the Travelers Championship and even has an outside chance of notching a second career win on the Tour.

However, he would need to overhaul world No.6 Jordan Spieth, who carded 66 to be 12-under. Spieth is a stroke clear of American compatriot Boo Weekly.

World No.99 Lee produced two top-10 finishes in May but his two finishes since then were 47th and 49th, leaving him 85th in the Tour's points rankings.

Kiwi Tim Wilkinson dropped to 60th on even-par after shooting a 72 on Saturday.
