The full 11 tracks of Melodrama appeared on a number of streaming and file sharing sites on Thursday afternoon (NZT).

There's been a long and heavily publicised build-up to the high-anticipated album, the follow-up to 2013's Pure Heroine.

A small number of fans got to hear it early at listening parties in New York and Auckland this week, ahead of Friday's official launch.

The singer's label, Universal Music, declined to comment about the leak.

Lorde has yet to make any comment on social media.
