Numerous golf media outlets reported Ko had parted ways with South African Gary Matthews nine tournaments into 2017.

The Kiwi world No.1 is yet to win this season, extending a drought that stretches back to last July.

Ko came into the season boasting a new coach, clubs and caddie.

The 19-year-old has recorded four top-10 finishes - including a second placing at last week's tournament in Hawaii - and was 11th at the first major of the year in California.

Ko went through numerous caddies in her rookie professional season before enjoying a stint with Jason Hamilton which lasted nearly two years and featured 10 titles. That relationship ended suddenly late last year.

Ko is yet to name a caddie for the next LPGA tournament in Texas starting on April 27.
