Malaysia late show earns Black Sticks draw

A last-minute equaliser has robbed the Black Sticks of victory in their second Test against Malaysia.

Thrashed 8-2 in their first Test in Kuala Lumpur, the Kiwis looked on track for a surprise victory after two quick-fire goals to Stephen Jenness and Nick Ross put them 3-2 up in the dying moments.

But the hosts snatched a late draw via a penalty corner.

The Black Sticks will now travel to Ipoh for the opening match of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup this weekend, where they will play Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia and Great Britain over the course of seven days.
