Man approaches child in street in Nelson

The man spoke to the child in Enner Glynn on Tuesday and was last seen walking north on Tuckett Place, before turning west onto Waimea Road.

The man is described as skinny and of average height with pale skin and short dark-brown spiky hair.

He was wearing black shorts, a white T-shirt, dark coloured boots and black wrap-around sunglasses.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
