Man killed in Buller River crash named

A man whose body was pulled from a car that crashed into the Buller River has been identified by police.

Marlborough man Jeremy Carnahan, 40, was found dead after his car left Lower Buller Gorge Road on Saturday afternoon.

A police dive squad and Land Search and Rescue were brought in to find the vehicle, recovering his body on Sunday.

Mr Carnahan was the only occupant of the car.

Police say they are still investigating the cause of the crash.
