Manhunt after Northland gun incident

Police have blocked roads as they search for an armed man who fled after a gun was allegedly pointed at a car near Kaikohe in Northland.

The man was in a car that fled the scene at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, and was later found abandoned on Te Pua Road at Broadwood.

Three men were seen running from the car into farmland near the road.

Two have been arrested, as well as a woman..

Te Pua Road road is now blocked between State Highways one and 12 while officers search for the third man.

Police say the incident is unrelated to the searches for Joshua Kite and Mark Fletcher.
