Man's name released after Lake Ohau crash

A man who died in a crash on a bridge alongside Lake Ohau in the South Island's Mackenzie Basin has been named as Rowan Alexander Yeager.

The 34-year-old from Ohau was discovered dead in his car on Freehold Creek Bridge, between Lake Ohau Village and the Lake Ohau Lodge, on Tuesday morning.

He was the only person in the vehicle.
