McClenaghan snares career-best IPL haul

NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 17/04/2016

Pace bowler Mitchell McClenaghan grabbed four wickets for the Mumbai Indians, but Black Caps teammate Brendon McCullum's Gujurat Lions still came out on top in their Indian Premier League Twenty20 match.

Mumbai, the defending champions, reached 143-8 off their 20 overs, with Tim Southee's 11-ball 25 pushing out the total after the top order failed to fire.

But although McCullum could only manage six in Gujurat's reply, Australian Aaron Finch secured the victory with a four off the last ball, his unbeaten 67 underpinning the three-wicket win.

McClenaghan picked up an IPL career-best with 4-21, including Suresh Raina for 27 just as he was starting to look dangerous.
