NZ NewswireNZ Newswire 7/06/2016

Brendon McCullum is making waves on and off the cricket pitch in England, blasting 74 for Middlesex in a county one-day game.

Former Black Caps skipper McCullum whacked four sixes and eight fours in a 56-ball knock against Hampshire in Radlett which set up their 295-8.

It wasn't enough to prevent Hampshire winning by five wickets under the Duckworth-Lewis method.

They were 204-5 off 25.3 overs when play was halted McCullum's knock came a day after he criticised the ICC in his Spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture at Lord's.

He accused the governing body of a casual and unprofessional handling of match-fixing evidence he had provided.
