The four men seen heading to Lois Tolley's Upper Hutt home on the night she died violently still haven't come forward.

Ms Tolley, 30, was found dead in her home on Ward Street, Trentham, early on Saturday, December 10.

Four men in their 20s were seen arriving at the house before the attack at about midnight on Friday, and seen jogging away shortly after.

In an update on the homicide investigation on Sunday, Detective Senior Sergeant Glenn Barnett says the scene examination is complete and three people have been arrested on unrelated matters.

But police are still seeking the knife and firearm believed to have been used in the attack, and continue to seek information on the four men.

They are described as in their 20s, wearing dark, hooded clothing.

Investigators are again appealing for them to come forward and explain their actions on the night.

Police say they've identified other persons of interest who will be spoken to in due course.

Investigators have been examining CCTV footage and are asking for anyone with more from properties or cars in the area to provide it.

"As I've said previously, we do believe the people who committed this violent attack were known to Ms Tolley, and someone out there will know who is responsible," Det Sen Sgt Barnett says.
